The Calile Hotel, a nostalgic grandeur of Palm Springs architecture, is where they envisioned themselves saying their I do’s in front of their nearest and dearest. They had planned for a rooftop ceremony, but due to the rainy weather we moved inside to their cozy penthouse suite.

It’s always an honour to be able to capture a couple’s special day. But, when the couple involves friends we’ve had for over a decade, there’s definitely no better feeling.

These two old souls eloped amongst a handful of their close friends and family on the rocky waters edge of Brisbane city. Old worldly silhouettes, timeless architectural buildings and soft glowy light all tied together perfectly in this effortless and love filled elopement.

Annie and Minh’s day was everything modern, romantic yet traditional with “relaxed and enjoyable” vibes all around. And that dress! Perfectly suited to the structural artistry of the Sydney Opera House used as their backdrop.

Elena and Costa decided to fly over with their close family and friends to celebrate the best way they knew how; one big Greek party. The small Greek town of Lindos, Rhodes is a clifftop acropolis which boasts of picturesque ocean views, white washed buildings, and ancient ruins.

These two sweetest of humans eloped in the beautiful surroundings of Yosemite National Park, CA. Their afternoon was spent on the cliff face of Taft Point at sunset where they exchanged heartfelt vows, wedding rings and joined their lives together

The pair began the day's festivities by getting ready in separate suites at The Calile, moving on over to The Howard Smith Wharves to say “I do” and seal their cosmopolitan wedding affair with a kiss, dancing the night away alongside family and friends.

Kate and Michael’s elegant and intimate wedding at The Calile Hotel. They opted to have two celebrations, one in Sydney and one in Brisbane so they could celebrate with all their loved ones despite border restrictions. We say, why not!?

Luxurious, feminine fabrics contrasted against the textural bricks and painted floorboards, with urban window light spilling through. It was an afternoon of editorial bridal heaven.

Although we were hit with some literal roadblocks thanks to the dense fog amongst the mountains, Portia and Norton took it all in their stride and we opted for ‘Plan B’ along the harbourside of Hobart and romantic shorelines of Coles Bay.

The day was perfect autumnal weather, and the setting sun welcomed an almost full moon. They enjoyed the rest of the night away with a first dance under the moonlight, with good company and with even better food. These two wildly romantics wanted simple, stylish and unashamedly love drenched memories. And boy did their day deliver.

Although it wasn't the vineyard rich, Italian-esque elopement they once dreamed of (thanks COVID), April and Josh’s “I do’s” were just as idyllic now situated amongst the snow-capped peaks of Cradle Mountain.

LOVERS SESSION

We spent the day following these two love birds around Brisbane City, snapping intimate moments whilst being amongst the hustle and bustle of the big smoke.

With a flower petal confetti exit, a champagne tower overlooking a lily pad filled pond, and an epic custom made gown - this romantic novel like wedding was such a breeze to capture and be a part of.

They both love to be creative, (Lilli being a graphic designer) and so appreciate a visually pleasing and minimalist aesthetic. Newstead Studios was the perfect blank canvas for their ceremonial visions. We had loads of fun playing with white walls, flash photography, beautiful arches from Newstead Studios, and architectural delights at The Calile Hotel.

Pastel striped skies, a glowing almost full moon, and a sweet but simple ceremony along the shore. These are what magical elopements are made of.

Our Lovers Session’s are always fun because we get to capture the heart of who you are as a couple, minus the nerves that can accompany the big day itself. But this one was particularly special to us as it involved some very close friends!
